All the information about the Symposium and your stay in the Mother City

The 1st International Symposium on Streptococcus agalactiae Disease (ISSAD) will take place between the 20th and 23rd of February 2018 at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town, South Africa.

Registration for the symposium will be charged in South African Rands (ZAR) and will open on the 17th July 2017.  The registration fee will cover:

  • Access to all scientific sessions
  • Access to presentations/poster exhibition
  • Symposium documents and links
  • Welcome cocktails on evening of 20th February 2018.
  • Coffee, lunch and tea breaks during the conference

Travel Scholarship Application

Travel scholarships have been made available by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and will be awarded to delegates from Countries with Developing Economies who are selected from scholarship applicants who complete all requirements by 31st October 2017.

Please note that submission of an abstract is a pre-requisite to being awarded a travel scholarship. For more information, visit ‘Scholarship application’ page.

Flights, Accommodation and Airport Transfers

Flights, accommodation and airport transfers are not included. Special accommodation rates have been arranged for Symposium delegates at the following hotels, which are in walking distance of the conference venue:

  • Century City hotel
  • The Marriott, Crystal Towers
  • The Residences, Crystal Towers
  • The Colosseum
  • Stay Easy, Century City

Gala Dinner

A gala dinner will be held at the Century City Conference Centre on evening of Thursday 22nd February 2018 at a cost of ZAR500.00. Please indicate on registration if plan to attend the gala dinner or not.
